TV control rules

Having siblings & cousins, TV control rules had to be made. It was funny how each family had similar rules with their own minor variances. With my siblings, whoever turns on the TV is in control and will remain in control unless you forget to say, "Save!" before leaving the room. With my other cousins, you had to say, "Save!" while touching the TV before leaving the room.

What started to happen after school was we'd all race to get home 1st just to be in control of the TV till bedtime. And during weekends, we all tried to be the 1st one up.

Those who weren't in control were like vultures waiting to run to the TV to touch it and say, "Save!" when the person who's in control forgets to "save". The 1st person to touch the TV and say, "Save!" takes control.

This was not good because the way we watched TV evolved from watching from a distance to watching while having a foot touching the TV (so as not needing to run). Looking back, I think it's just plain funny how we all had our foot touching the TV while watching it.
